Professional Development
Professional Development

A cornerstone of SMART’s educational mission is providing high-quality professional development for teachers.  SMART’s services and resources are designed to meet the organizational needs of the Pre-K-12 community in the areas of mathematics, science, and technology education and are fully aligned with state and national mathematics, science, and technology content standards.

SMART-sponsored workshops address both content and instructional practice and are presented by leading trainers and training organizations, as well as program-certified SMART professional staff.

Through its collective purchasing power, SMART can efficiently leverage the resources of leading service providers to meet the needs of its member school districts.  Sharing  professional development and other forms of support across the consortium allows SMART to provide a level of cost effectiveness that a district procuring these services on its own could not achieve.

Many SMART workshops can be taken for graduate credit through local universities at an additional cost.
